Description
• Evaluate site conditions to design optimal layouts for charger placement, cable routing, and distribution panels.
• Conduct load calculations and power flow analysis to ensure grid stability and determine appropriate capacity for DC Fast Chargers and AC units.
• Specify and select electrical components (breakers, cables, transformers) ensuring compatibility with EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment).
• Oversee and execute electrical wiring tasks, managing both high-voltage grid connections and low-voltage control systems.
• coordinate the seamless integration of charging infrastructure into existing power networks, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Ensure all installations strictly follow local regulations and international standards (IEC, CCS2) for safety and interoperability.
• Lead the testing and commissioning phase to verify that chargers are fully operational and communicating with the central management system.
• troubleshoot complex technical issues using diagnostic tools for both physical hardware (relays, power modules) and software (OCPP protocols, firmware).
• Provide rapid response to technical faults to minimize downtime and ensure network reliability.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including as-built drawings, single-line diagrams, and commissioning reports.
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on all work sites.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer with a specific track record in EV Charger installation and maintenance.
• Technical Expertise:
o Deep knowledge of CCS2, IEC 61851, and ISO 15118 standards.
o Hands-on experience with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
o Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic equipment.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on-site.
