Accountant - Expense Control and Analysis

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in expense recording, monitoring, and analysis. The role requires hands-on ownership of day-to-day expense accounting along with identifying and investigating high or abnormal expenses to support cost control and management decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and post all company expenses accurately and on a timely basis.Maintain detailed expense schedules and supporting documentation.Monitor expenses against budgets and historical trends.Identify, analyse, and flag abnormal or high-value expenses.Conduct variance analysis and provide clear explanations for deviations.Prepare periodic expense reports for management review.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate expense data and clarifications.Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to expenses.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements. 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to expense accounting and analysis.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and anomalies.Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas.Prior experience in E-commerce / FMCG / retail.
